About Us

Hub City Teens.com is a lifestyle and social network site founded in 2009 by a group of teenagers from Compton who wanted to create a local website to connect with other teenagers in their community. The site includes authentic content and stories from real teens facing hard challenges, but who are committed to improving their lives and helping each other to make it to the next level in life. The goal of the site is to provide teens with a place to share their likes and dislikes, their favorite movies, bands, video games, etc. The site will also provide valuable information about nutrition and fitness, teen pregnancy prevention, and other issues that affect and interest teens.

The genesis of the project was a collaboration between El Nido’s teen clients mentored by Saul Figueroa and the Maverick Angels, an angel investor club represented by Founder and President John Dilts, Fred Samulon (an El Nido Board Member) and Brian Wurfel, Maverick Angels Chief of Operations.
